To celebrate doing good in our community, we are hosting a week of community projects called “Roseville Cares” the first week of February 2025. The week builds on the annual Charity Week at Roseville Area High School. Roseville Cares is brought to you by Do Good Roseville in partnership with the Roseville Area Optimists Club’s Character Development Initiative (CDI).
We kicked off Roseville Cares Week with a Family Service Fair followed by a week of community based projects. There were opportunities for everyone to be involved: families, book clubs, pickleball teams, civic groups, faith communities, scouts, a whole company or a department within a company.
Here is a flyer which describes both aspects of Roseville Cares, or you can print one just of the fair, or just for projects further down on the page.

Kickoff: Family Service Fair
This free event was a series of stations which feature kid-friendly, hands-on service- learning projects for local non-profits. We made valentine cards for seniors at Friends and Co, fleece blankets for My Very Own Bed, forever flowers for seniors, put together catnip toys for Pet Haven and much more!
The concept of a Family Service Fair comes from an organization called Doing Good Together. They have a wealth of information and ideas for raising caring kids. Check out this infographic from Doing Good Together on “How to Raise Children Who Care and Contribute”. Also from Doing Good Together you can download their Spark Warmth Bingo filled with simple acts of kindness to Spark Bonfires of Compassion. This might be a good family event for February.
